ABOUT PAULA

​

I am a Brazilian-British with American citizenship, and TEFL-certified teacher with 10 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language online and in-person.

​​

I have lived and studied in England and the US for 13 years, and now I am in Florianópolis, SC. I graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Maryland, with extra courses in leadership (Landmark Education) and TEFL (tefl.org, please see PDFs below). I have a post-graduate degree in Modern Education and am finishing my second in Neurosciences and Child Development. Besides that, I have travelled to many countries and experienced many cultures first hand.

 

I offer English lessons that help students perfect their fluency from an intermediate level and above. Whether you are looking for a job or study opportunity, to take a test, or to travel, I offer classes to meet these goals.

I also offer time between scheduled lessons with feedback to keep students motivated and working independently, as I highly value the efforts and outcomes of self-guided studying.​
